Godwin Ohaechesi is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of service at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), retiring as a Director in the Financial Regulation Division. He oversaw statutory deposits exceeding $1.2 billion and ensured the solvency of insurance companies operating in Texas through advanced financial analysis.
As TDI Coordinator at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) for over five years, he fostered collaboration between Texas and NAIC’s offices in Kansas City and New York. His global impact includes mentoring fellows from countries such as Brazil, China, India, and Nigeria through NAIC’s International Fellows Program.
Godwin also contributed his expertise internationally, providing technical assistance on finance and insurance for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Trinidad and Tobago. His career reflects a commitment to excellence, mentorship, and global capacity building in financial regulation.
He is the board chairman of Ohaechesi Charitable Foundation which is his family's legacy project to reaching out to the less privileged and supporting community development in Nigeria and Africa at Large.
